    Sickness and disability touch so many of us that we cannot avoid the issue, though unravelling the easy cases would take a spiritual Sherlock Holmes. Desiring to simplify the complexities of life, we tend to ram the many reasons for illness into just one or two categories and then wonder why our answer doesn’t work with everyone. We must be good stewards. We an alternative to a highly-regulative, government-run healthcare system. But we also need to be sure that our system serves the needs of citizens rather than being arranged for the profit of special interests such as insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. A Christian worldview is more important than ever.

    Readers ask me all the time what books I’d recommend for women who want to grow deeper with Jesus. But as an English major and lifetime reader, I have the hardest time picking just one or two. So below I’ve compiled my top 20 must-read books for Christian women today. The verse is talking about sin and righteousness, not sickness and disease. Therefore, being “healed” in both these verses is speaking of being forgiven and saved, not physically healed. The Bible does not specifically link physical healing with spiritual healing.
